Alberto Vasquez
Founder and President
Alberto Vasquez has guided our companies as Founder and President since 2000, culminating with the strategic evolution and growth into South America.
Alberto has over ten years of experience in the software engineering and simulation industry. Working with the United States Army in producing simulators for dismounted soldiers after his tenure in the armed forces, he gained valuable experience in building detailed and stable applications. Alberto's desire to leave government work to grow a flourishing international business, has been, and will continue to be, his passion.
Alberto graduated from University of Central Florida and heads our North American Operations. He has held positions in General Dynamics, Veridian, Veda before starting at NEWEDGE Services, Inc.
Javier Vasquez
Vice President, Corporate Development & Marketing
Javier Vasquez has over seven years of working experience on project management and international business development in both the Latin America and Asia sectors. Javier's daily role is developing new opportunities for NEWEDGE, finding ways to better serve our customers and exploring new business inroads in domestic and international growth. Javier's focus is new product and technology initiatives, identifying market trends and overall company marketing strategy.
Previous to joining NEWEDGE, he worked as project manager and business developer for the organization Global Entrepreneurs in both Colombia and India. In addition, Javier has experience as a business and communications instructor, sales manager, and consultant to startups in business planning and fundraising.
Javier heads our South America operations and is not related to the owner.
Alejandro Pedraza
Architect
Alejandro Pedraza is a seven year industry veteran, with extensive experience in building application frameworks on a variety of products. Alejandro generally sits between the business and the technology side of NEWEDGE. This is a peer role to the managers, but has a technology focus.
As 'The Architect' Alejandro's role is not just designing the architecture of a system. He must also understand the system's requirements (written, spoken and unstated) and translate these into a technical solution, and then work with the managers to design the best approach to implement that solution. Alejandro is a certified Zend Developer.
Patricia Ortiz
Human Resources / Administration
Patricia has been with NEWEDGE for over one year now working and solving issues behind the scenes. Patricia ensures that our staff is running at full potential by taking care of the business side allowing all other staff members to focus on their primary roles. Keeping NEWEDGE running smoothly is no small task and Patricia has done an amazing job ensuring that we all have the right environment to work in.
Brian Box
Support Manager
Brian Box joined NEWEDGE as an experienced ClientExec user and previous distributer. As first point of contact for support issues, Brian ensures that tickets are dealt with quickly and passed onto development if needed for resolution. Brian holds a BA, Postgraduate Certificate (IT), also has ITIL foundation accreditation and various Microsoft certificates. Brian has a background in educational development, healthcare and web hosting - so has the experience to understand our clients needs.
Keith Beal
Billing Manager
Keith Beal joined NEWEDGE in mid-2004 as an experienced ClientExec user, using ClientExec since early 2003. Keith was initially assigned as a support staff member, and later Support Manager. Keith is currently our Billing Manager, handles support and pre-sales questions. Keith holds a BAAS degree in Business/Marketing, an AAS Degree in Electronics Technology and also holds various Microsoft Certifications.
Mike Mallinson
Lead Developer
Mike Mallinson joined NEWEDGE as an experienced ClientExec user, initially assigned as a support staff member and part time developer. As Lead Developer, Mike has had a major hand in designing our solutions, works with our customers and development team to ensure the quality and success of projects delivered on either Linux or Microsoft platform. Mike is a certified Zend Developer.
