There are a few threads on how to modify themes so that it integrates into the company website but they all just have generalities, nothing specific, no how to's really. I realize that I have to modify the pics individually, but do they have to be certain format or resolution size, ect....

What is up with the title?

You have full access to the tpl files to see what you need. You can modify them however you want we do not require a certain format or otherwise.

Just make sure if all you want to do is change images that they are the same if you aren't changing the template. If you are changing the template then you are in control

It is actually so so so soooooooo easy to do them template change.
All you need is HTML knowledge, and I would imagine every man and his dog knows the basics these days...

If you struggle with that, buy yourself a copy of dreamweaver and open the .tpl files with that and modify.

What you could also try is to rename the .tpl file to say .html, accept the file name change and then open with DW.
What this will allow you to do is wrap the .tpl code with your own sites design so you can do headers, footers, left columns, right columns etc etc etc.

Just make full back ups of your original files, and then go have a play.
As long as you are messing with a backed up copy you can do no harm.
