VoxTheme error message

I am getting the following error message after I put the new template in

The encoded file /home/upstate/public_html/clients/templates/vox-ce/functions.php has expired or is corrupt.

I have copied the functions.php from Raleigh and put it in the vox-ce theme. Deleted and tried again. I have done this about 4 or 5 times but it is still there. I get it in the Admin - Settings section of CE. I am running CE 1.1.1 and have chatted with Vox about this.

Alberto...do you have any idea as to what is causing this?

did you upload in the correct format?

functions.php needs to be uploaded in binary.

that worked...I guess I was doing it in auto and it was going to ASCII
