How should I apply?

All applications to the Analyst Program should be submitted on-line at Career Opportunities.

What is the application deadline?

  • Front Office Analyst Program – Sunday 20 January 2013.
  • IT / Operations and eSolutions Analyst Program – Sunday 27 January 2013.

Applications will be screened on a rolling basis and we therefore recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible. Applications made after the deadline may still be considered depending on the needs of the business.

When does the program start?

The program will start mid-August. All applicants should be available for full-time employment from this time.

I have already graduated / am a postgraduate student can I apply?

Yes, we welcome applications from postgraduates and candidates that have already graduated as well as those in their final year of an undergraduate degree. All applicants should be available for full-time employment following the program. This program is not suitable for students undertaking an Industrial placement as part of their degree.

I do not graduate until September can I still apply?

As the training will commence mid-August and is mandatory for all trainees on the Analyst Program so you need to be available for full-time employment from this time. If you are not able to start in August, we would suggest you apply to the 2014 Analyst Program.

Can I apply to more than one position on the program?

Yes, you are able to apply for more than one position on the Newedge Analyst program. We however recommend that you research the various business areas to understand which would best match your skill set and interests.

Does Newedge offer a Summer Internship Program?

Newedge offers 6-12 month internship opportunities across the front office business lines and support functions globally.

Newedge also offers 8 week summer internships in New York and Chicago. Summer intern positions in 2013 include; Front Office, IT, Operations, Finance, Risk Management, Legal, Compliance and Human Resources.

What should I expect through the interview process?

If you are successful through the screening process you will be invited to attend a telephone interview with the Global Head of Graduate Recruitment.

If your application is successful you will be invited to attend interview at the Newedge office in London, Chicago or New York respectively.

  • First Round Interviews – Two or three, 30 minute competency based interviews with the Business. You should also expect to take a numerical and verbal reasoning test.
  • Final Round Interviews – Three or four, 30 minute competency based interviews with senior Business Managers.

What does Newedge look for in candidates?

The individual should be self-motivated and adopt a responsible approach to all deliverables; ensuring work is prioritized appropriately and produced in an accurate and timely manner. Effective communication skills are essential. The individual should be a team player, with a flexible approach to assisting with the department’s workload. Experience that demonstrates the below competencies will be essential:
